Make the work. Keep the rights.

Tamsen Thackeray is the lawyer musicians, filmmakers and creators call before they sign. Contracts, royalties, copyright and brand deals, read line by line and explained in plain words.

The first call is free. After that, a review or draft is a flat fee quoted in writing, or an hourly rate if the work can't be scoped. Filing and registration fees are separate.

Your lawyer

One lawyer, the whole contract

    Tamsen Thackeray

    Entertainment lawyer and founder

Tamsen spent her first years in business affairs, on the side of the table that writes the deals. Now she sits on yours. She reads every page herself, answers her own phone, and tells you which clauses to push on and which to let go.

Before you sign

Send the draft before you send the signature

Tell me about the deal and what you're hoping for, then bring the draft to the call. If the contract has been signed already, bring that too: there is often still something to do.

The first call is free. Work after that is quoted as a flat fee in writing.
